Running does not discriminate- a poem

Running does not discriminate,
pointy elbows won't make you much faster,
cool glasses won't get in my way,
Because Running does not discriminate

Nike's won't get you the lead,
duffel bags won't scare me off,
Your muscles can't intimidate,
Because running does not discriminate

Can you feel the cool breeze through your hair,
Or the burning in your throat,
was it your attitude that got you there?
Because running does not discriminate

Running does help make friends,
and often it attracts cool people,
but why do you need trends,
When running does not discriminate

A trip To Japan Dialogue

“I can really take anyone; you’re not doing this to miss around?” I asked my Dad.
“Yes and no… Anyone, preferably someone who wouldn’t kill you nor has any ties with the mafia.”He replied,
Immediately Melissa was out of the picture, just kidding.
“Aw cool, let me ask around.”
I thought to myself who are the possibilities. The first person to pop up was Melissa. I picked up my phone to call her mom.
 (In a heavy accent): “Hello?”
“Hey Ms.Nies, can I talk to Melissa?”
“Okay, but can I ask whose calling?”Asked Ms.Nies
 “John, I said
 “John who?”She replied.
“Her friend, John Davis.”
“Oh okay… Melissa, some guy named John Davis is on the phone for you.”She yelled.
            Melissa goes on the phone.
 “Hello?”Greeted Melissa
“Hey Melissa, wanna go to Japan. I know you admire the Asians.” I asked
“Ehh I don’t know. I’ll have to check my schedule, (short pause) no.” She replied rather quickly
“Oh okay, are you sure?”
“Yeah I’m sure; I don’t want to go.”She said bluntly
“Oh okay, can I bring frosty.” I said joking around
The phone call went blank. Well darn it whose next? Maybe Robby would like to go. I opened up facebook and sure enough he was online. I opened up a chat and asked.
“Hey Robby, wanna go to Japan?”
It took him like 3 minutes and then he responded
“No, I have plans this summer.” Replied Robby.
 “Are you sure?” I typed.
 “Yes”
I started to write how come and then he showed up as offline. Person after person my friends kept saying no, so I sold the tickets to Robby, he was going on some trip with Nikko and his girlfriend, Destiny. I used the money to buy some ice cream.

Procrastination

I don’t know when it started, or why it happens, but procrastination among honor students are spreading like wildfire.
I woke up this morning in a good mood. 10 hours of sleep is the usual for a Wednesday morning. I felt great; I wasn’t the slightest bit tired, my house was nice and quiet, and even better all my homework was done, or so I thought. I went downstairs to eat some frosted flakes. Who doesn’t like frosted flakes? My milk was nice and cold and I even managed to get the last bowl of it. I got ready by 8:15 and had 15 minutes to horse around. I looked outside to see that the weather was not too hot too wear light clothing, but not too cold to wear a jacket. All this was, hopefully, an exposition for a great day. Leaving my room I decided to grab my guitar, it’ll be fun to play at lunch and at the morning.
My bus ride was weirdly crowded. This was a hassle for bringing my guitar, but nevertheless I made it to school. Once I arrived I went straight into the cafeteria. I eat 2 breakfasts because I get really really hungry by the time lunch comes around. I decided to get a muffin and some yogurt. Most of the time the muffins aren’t cooked all the way, but my was perfect. Again the day couldn’t have gone any better. The bell rang and I nonchalantly walked into 1st period. Immediately I was bombarded with the issue of “Did you do the resume?” Dangit! I completely forgot about it. Out of all the classes, I forgot to do the homework in my favorite. I don’t know why either. I made sure I did my math, history, and biology, but what about English, especially something as fun as a resume. Immediately I rushed to my seat and did my best effort of trying to finish what should be a half hours work into 3 minutes. It came out horrible and I was sort of ashamed of myself. I guess I have to use a no hassle pass and do it tonight, but then I have that 2-3 page essay in history about library references, and the endless amount of math problems Ms.Bosworth assigns, and that doesn’t even consider the packet I don’t have a clue of how to do in biology… When did the assignments start to pile on?
The rest of the period went great, in fact my whole schedule did. In 2nd period I got the highest test score, in 3rd we observed organisms, and in 4th we learned lots about world religions. I can’t remember another day thus far where I’ve been so productive. My homework list was somewhat manageable: 2 essays, math and a packet. Afterschool I had a student council meeting and then concessions. Like the rest of the day those went great, except for the fact that I forgot my backpack at school darn it. I got home around 9 pm. Assignment after assignment and now its 12:20 and I’m writing this creative essay. This essay wouldn’t be about procrastination if I wasn’t doing it. I spent about an hour on facebook and now I’m paying for it.

System of a down is a great band. Most of their songs repeat the same lines over and over. A great example would be this song. This song only actually has 4 lines in it. In my opinion this is talking about how the writer enjoys "rocking out on the radio with danny and lisa." I think Danny and Lisa are his fellow bandmates. Together him Lisa and Danny make music and then rocks out to it on the radio. He then later adds that rocking out with them take him away the strangest places he knows. The way the band plays the song you wouldn't expect the lead singer to be singing the same thing over and over. That's why they used to be my favorite band. Their songs are cleverly written and played.
